Get set for Jacksonville PorchFest 2021 as the popular annual music fest returns for its 7th year. The free, family-friendly event sees more than 20 live bands performing on porches in Jacksonville’s Springfield Historic District. The day also includes food, drink, and arts and crafts vendors. November 6th, 2021, from 12pm to 8pm.
When it comes to fun ways to spend a day, it’s hard to beat a free music festival, especially one with as fantastic a venue as this one! Jacksonville PorchFest is held on the porches of Jacksonville’s Springfield historic district, located just north of downtown.
Festival audiences stroll from porch to porch with the schedule, stopping on front lawns and sidewalks to enjoy all the great live music. The route is only a few blocks long and, consequently pedestrian, bicycle, child, and pet friendly.
The festival features performers from a wide variety of musical genres, with a little something for everyone. Craft beer will be available for purchase along the route, as well as more than 50 food trucks and on-site vendors.
Be sure to stop by the PorchFest Welcome Tent, in Jacksonville’s Sesquicentennial Park at 1527 N Main Street, to collect a festival map and schedule. Sesquicentennial Park and all show venues are just under a half-hour’s drive from our Jacksonville area hotel, Club Continental.
One of the event’s many goals is to bring attention to the historic architecture and ongoing revitalization of in Jacksonville’s oldest and original neighborhood. The festival is put on by Springfield Preservation and Revitalization, with proceeds going to their arts programming and education fund.
The festival is a free, friendly, and flexible event. Stay as long as you like, watch the bands, enjoy the food, drink, and vendors, then head back to your room at Club Continental when you’re done.
