Jacksonville Spartan Race Weekend 2022 is just around the corner with 4 different races to spectate or compete in: a Spartan Sprint, Spartan Super, Spartan Trail, and two days of Spartan Kids Races. February 26th and 27th, 2022 at the WW Ranch Motocross Park.
Spartan events are exciting and challenging obstacle course races that combine 3 mile or longer foot races with a variety of obstacles. The obstacles take a variety of forms, causing contestants to crawl, jump, swing, and more to finish the course.
One of the goals of the Spartan athlete is to achieve the Spartan Trifecta. This involves completing 3 Spartan races, starting with a Spartan Sprint, an is considered the Ultimate Spartan Achievement. The Spartan Race idea took off in 2010 and Spartan events are now held regularly, world wide throughout the year.
Jacksonville’s Spartan Race Weekend has become an annual tradition and includes a variety of Spartan events. 2022’s Spartan Weekend includes 4 different events.
The Spartan Sprint is an off-road 5k with water and mud and considered a short-distance race. Then there’s the Spartan Super: 8 to 10 miles of rugged terrain with 25 to 30 obstacles to overcome. The Spartan Trail is a classic 10k trail running event.
The Spartan Kids Race is for children ages 4 to 13, separated into different events by age. Children aged 4 to 8 compete in a half-mile run. Those between 10 and 13 compete on a 2 mile course with obstacles.
Jacksonville Spartan Race Weekend 2022 will be held at WW Ranch Motocross Park, just 30 minutes from our Jacksonville area hotel, Club Continental.
